TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Booking conditions
•A £50 Booking Deposit is necessary to secure your dates and confirm your commitment to hire.
•The balance is due two weeks before your hire begins or at the time of booking.
•Cancellation at any time, without rearrangement of the hire period, will result in a loss of the booking deposit.
•Cancellation within three weeks of the hire period will result in a loss of the booking deposit (and 75% of the balance if the hire period cannot be filled).  Last minute bookings must be paid for in full (this covers all bookings made within a 2 week period of departure date).
•A security deposit of £250 is payable by credit card prior to the start of your holiday. This will be returned within seven days of your return if your trailer and its contents are complete and undamaged. The cost of any replacements or repairs (excluding normal wear and tear) may be deducted from this amount.
Delivery / Pick Up and Drop Off Information
If you do not possess the exact pick up / drop off location, please contact us by either e-mailing or telephone. Our contact telephone numbers (and address) can be found on our Company website www.wickedteardropsuk.com

Towing
•Fully comprehensive insurance is essential and you will need to provide an up to date copy of your insurance schedule prior to collection of a trailer.
•Cars must be fitted with a suitable tow-bar with single electrics.
•All drivers must be over 25 and under 75 and have at least 2 years driving experience.
•You must supply an extra rear number plate for your trailer (average price £15). Please remember that vehicle documentation and ID will be required by any supplier before a number plate can be made up. We will fix your number plate securely to the trailer.
•It is illegal to carry passengers in a trailer while it is in transit.
•You must not take a trailer outside the UK without permission. A security deposit of £500 will be required for overseas trips.
•Charges will be made if you return a trailer late without prior warning.
•The door of your trailer must be locked whenever it is unattended and overnight, when the side door can be locked from the inside. The roof vent must be closed when unattended but should be left open for ventilation when occupied.
•Dogs are not allowed inside trailers.
•No Smoking or naked flames inside trailers.
•Your trailer and its contents will be fully cleaned and laundered by WICKEDTEARDROPSUK on its return but if exceptionally heavy cleaning is required this will be charged for.
Our policy allows drivers between the ages of 25 – 75 years old whom have either a clean UK/EU driving licence or have up to a maximum of 6 penalty points on their licence at & during the time of hire. Anyone requiring a Teardrop Caravan out with these terms can apply to have a referral to the  Company which will be either accepted or declined by Wicked Teardrops UK.
In some circumstances we may reduce the minimum and/or maximum age by paying an additional fee, the "under / over aged driver surcharge" or "young driver fee".
Detailed information regarding the age requirements can be enquired about at the Wicked Teardrop UK office in person, by telephone or by e-mail.

Driving Licence
The driver (and additional driver) must produce a full valid driving licence in his/her name with no major endorsements and to have been held for a minimum of two years. If a new style British driving licence is held, both the paper counterpart and card parts must be presented.
In addition to the national driving licence, a valid passport or ID card and a household bill (dated within the past 3 Months) must be presented prior to the hire commencement.
It is the sole responsibility of the named driver (hirer) to make sure that he/she possesses the appropriate and necessary documents needed for the caravan hire.
No Refunds will be given for refused caravan hires due to the failure of producing the correct driving licence to the hire company.
Faxed or photocopied licences will not be accepted.
Teardrop trailer insurance is payable at £6.95 per day
Out of Hours charges
Caravans supplied or returned outside normal working hours may incur an additional service charge, this applies due to the selected times falling outside of normal working hours which are 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday & by arrangement at weekends.
For any reason causing the caravan to be picked up outside normal working hours may incur an extra fee.

Delivery / Pick Up of the Caravan
The delivery/pick up information along with all the details of the caravan hire company (name, address, telephone number and exact meeting point instructions) will be written on the caravan hire agreement.
If you face any difficulties locally in finding the caravan hire company please call the local contact telephone numbers written on our website: "Contact/delivery information" or telephone Wicked Teardrops UK on the number +44 1584 872 398  or +44 7768 149 639 for assistance.
We strongly recommend that you carefully inspect the caravan prior to leaving the hire station and have any existing scratches or damages clearly written on the caravan hire agreement before you start driving!
Return / Drop Off of the Caravan
Your selected and confirmed drop off date, time and location will be written on your final confirmation sheet. Additional information/ instructions regarding the drop off will be given at the time of pick up. For your own benefit we strongly advise you to check the hire caravan for any existing damages. Ensure that even the smallest of scratches or damage is noted on the check-out form you are given by the Wicked Teardrops UK hire representative. Likewise, at the time of check in/return of the caravan, the same procedure should be followed, please wait for the signed check in report to prove no new damage has been found by the representative.
If once the caravan hire has begun and you wish to change any aspect of the drop off information (time etc), this will be handled by Wicked Teardrops UK hire company, please be advised that if the change is accepted by the rental/hire company there may be an extra charge.

Period of hire
Hire days are calculated on a 24-hour basis, commencing at the time specified on your voucher.
Wicked Teardrops UK allow up to a 1 hour delay in the return time without charging an extra day.
The one hour grace period is only valid at the time of booking. Any change in the drop off time after the hire has started will be at the discretion of Wicked Teardrops UK.

Amendments / Changes / Extensions
All amendments must be made by e-mail or telephone and confirmed by Wicked Teardrops UK. Credit card details are required to make the transaction. When an amendment is placed, a new order is created. If the new order is confirmed you will be sent a new hire agreement and the original order will be cancelled. The down payment from the original order will be refunded to your bank account. The total price of the amendment may vary so please check carefully before creating and completing it. There is an amendment fee of £5 which will be charged to your credit card (not refundable if you cancel the amendment). It is very important that you read the new agreement as it is your responsibility to make sure the new details are correct.
Extension of the hire after the hire period has started can be done by contacting Wicked Teardrops UK. All extensions have to be confirmed by the hire Company. When an extension is confirmed it will be necessary for you to visit the hire station to renew the contract.
Please note that if you wish to drop the caravan off earlier than booked, Wicked Teardrops UK will not refund any amount for the unused days.
If, upon arrival at the hire office, you decide you don't want any extras or services originally booked, Wicked Teardrops UK will not refund any amount for the unused extras / services.

Cancellation of a confirmed order
All cancellations have to be made via e-mail to wickedteardropsuk@yahoo.co.uk & confirmed by the hire Company.
If you cancel a confirmed booking more than 48 hours (2 full days) prior to the start of the hire period, the down payment will be refunded to the value of 50% to your bank account. Wicked Teardrops UK will keep a maximum of £125 to compensate the caravan hire Company for their costs. You will incur no other costs, except for those which might occur due to the currency exchange policy of your bank or credit card company.
If you cancel a confirmed booking 48 (2 full days) or less hours prior to the start of the hire period, the down payment will not be refunded. The down payment will be kept (up to a maximum of £250) by Wicked Teardrops UK to compensate the hire company for their costs.
In the event that you wish to cancel your booking after the caravan hire has commenced and time has passed, Wicked Teardrops UK will not refund any amount for the unused days or time. All cancellations after the start of the hire period will be handled by the caravan hire company at your destination.
Note: No Refund will be made for no-show at the destination (meaning if you do not show up to take the caravan) or the failure to produce the necessary documents required, early returns or cancellation after the hire start date.
Cancellation from the caravan hire company:
On the rare occasion, that our caravan hire Company is unable to fulfill and carry out the hire agreement (due to break-down etc) Wicked Teardrops UK will cancel the reservation and refund all charges made. Notification of this will be made to you by both e-mail and phone call regarding the cancellation as soon as possible.
Theft or damage:
In case of theft / damage or accident, the van hire company will have the right to charge the full value of the caravan to the customer’s credit card or to pursue the customer through court action or any other means appropriate so as to make a full recovery of the value of damaged/stolen property.
In case of theft, damage or accident, the police and the caravan hire company must be informed immediately (contact details are always mentioned on the voucher and on the caravan hire agreement). A police report is obligatory in case a third party is involved or theft. The police must issue a police report even when no third party is involved or if the car was damaged while it was parked. The police report is a legal document, which clarifies the circumstances under which the damage /accident occurred. For your own protection we highly recommend that you obtain a police report even for the smallest damage.
The vehicle/caravan must be never removed from the place of accident until the police report has been completed!
If an incident is not reported to the police and you don’t comply with the requirements under the country's law, you will be personally responsible for all costs.
The caravan should be checked regularly for new damages (made, for example, when the caravan was parked). In the case of new damage having been detected, the above procedure should be followed. Any unnoticed accident or damage to the caravan may be interpreted as negligence and may result in a charge to the customer.
On the return of the caravan an accident report must be completed and signed with the caravan hire company. If for any reason you do not agree with the damage mentioned on the accident report you have the right to refuse to sign it.

- Police report.
- Accident report.
- Original hire agreement / contract.
- Credit card statement and receipts of payment.
- Pictures of the damage.

These documents must be sent to Wicked Teardrops UK within 90 days after the hire end date, as it will not be possible to check the incident after this period.
Wicked Teardrops UK will have the right to pursue the hirer (financially or otherwise) if any of the above documents are missing or if the terms and conditions of the website have not been followed. For this reason you must strictly follow the procedure above.
Charges for damages to the parts mentioned below and the repair cost will be charged directly to the customer and are not refundable from Wicked Teardrops UK: aerial, doorsill, glass or plastic parts, lights, locks, roof, wheels, underside, interior of the caravan, damage incurred as a result of incorrect use of the caravan or gross negligence, water submersion or salt-water damage, flat battery and additional equipment provided with the caravan.
This also applies to charges for extreme dirtiness in the caravan, off road driving and the loss of any other items belonging to Wicked Teardrops UK.
Loss or damage to keys will result in a £150.00 charge.
Local laws govern the terms and conditions of hiring caravans and the hire contract signed on collection of the caravan is legally binding to the hirer.

Hire Documents
Your caravan hire voucher must be presented when you pick your hire caravan up.
Wicked Teardrops UK cannot be held responsible for refusal to provide the caravan if the voucher is not presented.
Hire documents and all related receipts should be kept for a minimum of 28 days after the hire end date.
The hire agreement will only be written in English.
The van hire company reserves the right to upgrade the selected vehicle category at the time of pick up to a higher one if the booked caravan is not available.
If you are in any way dissatisfied with the standard of your booked caravan, you have to contact Wicked Teardrops UK immediately. Such cases should be handled with the caravan hire company. Failure to do so may result in any claims not being accepted or settled.
Wicked Teardrops UK will rarely be able to handle complaints regarding the caravan standard or performance or make any refunds after the hire period is over.
Wicked Teardrops UK accepts no liability for actual hires that do not take place due to reasons for which the hirer is solely responsible.
Such reasons are, for example:
- Failure to present a driving licence (and International Driving Licence where necessary) or presenting a driving licence which has expired or is not valid.
- Failure to present a valid passport or identification card.
- Failure to present a valid house-hold bill.
- Failure to present a valid credit card in the name of the main driver on the booking. (Debit cards are rarely accepted).
-The non-compliance of the regulations in respect of the minimum or maximum age of the driver.
Please be advised that the hire of the caravan is subject to the law of the country where the hire takes place.
Local laws govern the terms and conditions of hiring caravans and the hire contract signed on collection of the van is legally binding to the hirer.
All reservations are made through Wicked Teardrops UK and all coupons and vouchers are issued by the company in their role as hirer for the principals providing the respective services.

Consequential loss
Wicked Teardrops UK is not responsible for indirect losses which occur as a side effect of the main loss or damage and which are not foreseeable by the customer and Wicked Teardrops UK (such as loss of profits or loss of opportunity).

Force Majeure
Wicked Teardrops UK shall not be responsible for either a failure to perform or a delay in performing any of its obligations under or pursuant to this booking if and in so far as performance is delayed, hindered or prevented by force majeure which expression shall mean any event beyond the reasonable control of Wicked Teardrops UK. In case of Force Majeure the reservation and all insurances become invalid.
Across the border hires:
Wicked Teardrops UK provides coverage only within the country (Great Britain) where the hire caravan is picked up (this includes Scotland, Wales & England)
Ferrying the rented caravan:
Domestic is allowed but it must be requested at the Wicked Teardrops UK Office. Any extra cost involved will be paid by the hirer.
You must inform the caravan hire company that you are taking the caravan on a ferry.
Note that no insurance covers the caravan for damages or theft occurred while on the ferry, therefore, all damage/thefts will be paid for by the hirer.
Please ask for more information regarding 'ferrying' at the Wicked Teardrops UK office.

Complaints
Complaints will not be handled over the Telephone or by Live Support, only via e-mail communication and should be sent along with all related hire documents and receipts to wickedteardropsuk@yahoo.co.uk
Wicked Teardrops UK aims to resolve complaints within 40 days of receipt thereof. Some complaints may take longer than 40 days as the time depends on the nature of the issue and information provided.
Wicked Teardrops UK can only consider complaints that reach them within 40 days of the final day of hire to which the hire voucher/agreement refers.
Actions against Wicked Teardrops UK are restricted to the laws that occur within the jurisdiction of the local courts.
Wicked Teardrops UK will not accept any complaints or make any refunds should the General and Local Terms & Conditions of our website and the caravan hire agreement not be followed. The General and Local Terms and Conditions of Wicked Teardrops UK are subject to change without notice.
WICKED TEARDROPS UK reserves the right to supplement and/or amend terms and conditions when necessary.
